Chronic Diseases

Since chronic diseases and infections are an increasing problem, we have also specialized in these, sometimes very different, clinical pictures. A disturbance of the immunological balance and, as a result, a reactivation of viral infections often play a decisive role.

This increase has various causes and affects both our lifestyle and the fact that people are getting older and chronic diseases are therefore increasing.

But also diseases of the immune system, such as autoimmune diseases and allergies, are found much more frequently today than a few years ago.

Causes of the Increase in Chronic Diseases

Causes for the lifestyle-related increase in chronic diseases can be found in environmental pollution, lack of exercise and obesity, alcohol consumption, smoking and malnutrition.

The health effects of this accumulation of health risks are an increase in chronic diseases and recurrent infections.

  • Chronic fatigue (ME/CFS)
  • Cancer
  • Autoimmune diseases and allergies
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Strokes
  • Heart attacks

In this respect, in addition to treating these diseases, we also focus on prevention and thus lifestyle changes.

In the case of age-related chronic diseases, we are often faced with difficult situations. Patients are often confronted with a multitude of diseases, therapies, treatments and side effects.

These many therapies and medications influence each other and often lead to undesirable effects. In most cases, these are not sufficiently taken into account or uncovered, as there is no coordination between the various therapists.

Consequently, our diagnostics and therapy aim to first unravel this tangle. In order to limit side effects and interactions of therapies, reduce side effects and improve quality of life, a detailed anamnesis interview and a
holistic diagnosis
are crucial.

In recent years, however, we have also observed a significant increase in constantly recurring infections, even in childhood, which for the children is associated with significant restrictions due to absence from school, but is often also a major burden for the entire family.

There are typical patterns in the search for the causes and lifestyle factors already play a role here.

Therapeutic options

Fortunately, in recent years there have been successes in medicine in the treatment of diseases that were considered fatal not so long ago (many cancers, HIV and AIDS). In the meantime, these can often be treated well, but also lead to an increase in chronic complaints of those affected.

Here, too, we offer accompanying therapies to support the immune system, reduce side effects and psychological support as a useful addition.

Often, patients also come to us who have to deal with recurring illnesses, infections or unclear complaints for which there is no explanation. Often, mental disorders are then falsely certified. As a result, patients are not taken seriously and are treated unsatisfactorily or do not respond to the therapies.

Before we can begin with a targeted

therapy

, the search for the causes of the disease, for triggers or therapy blockades is clearly in the foreground here.
