Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy – Diet – Keto – Vegan – Anti-inflammatory or…? Feeling lost?

Nutritional counseling is an important component in the complementary medicine for many diseases. This is especially true because our current eating habits are often contributing factors, if not frequently the cause, of many illnesses.

Our diet is often characterized by:

  • Energy surplus and consequently overweight
  • Deficiency of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements
  • Excessively high salt consumption (sodium intake)
  • Too much sugar
  • Deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids

Increasingly, we consume convenience foods, eat and drink “to go,” and our daily stress is a constant companion to our diet.

The consequences of an unhealthy diet are extensive and cannot all be listed here. However, within the framework of our therapy concept, we are particularly interested in the connection between
nutrition and immune defense
,
nutrition and inflammation
or anti-inflammatory effects, as well as
nutrition and cancer
.

The importance of a long-term healthy and balanced diet and lifestyle cannot be overstated.

What Contribution Can Nutritional Therapy Make?

Many patients already come to the practice seeking nutritional counseling or dietary changes, as the connections between healthy nutrition and, for example, cancer, or the benefits of an anti-inflammatory diet are widely known. The transition to a vegetarian, vegan, or ketogenic diet often plays a significant role. Professionally qualified advice is absolutely necessary here, as otherwise, an improper diet can quickly have the opposite effect.

Extensive experience is now also available in the field of fasting therapy, which shows an improvement in prognosis, e.g., in cancer patients, significantly better tolerability of chemotherapy through intermittent fasting, increased well-being of patients, and fewer recurrences in breast cancer patients through nocturnal fasting. Healthy individuals can also benefit from fasting and contribute to maintaining their health.

Nutritional Counseling within Holistic Therapy Concepts

It is known that malnutrition negatively affects our metabolism, our immune system, our intestinal barrier, and many other functions in our body. This can lead to, among other things, allergies,

autoimmune diseases

and chronic inflammatory diseases.

Chronic inflammation
or silent inflammation, in turn, is increasingly associated with the development of
cancer
is associated with.

Therefore, nutritional counseling is an important complement to other therapeutic measures. Certainly, we will not cure cancer with dietary changes. However, we can eliminate negative influences on healing to positively influence the progression of the disease or its recurrence, reduce complications, or improve general well-being.

A healthy diet supports your immune system and strengthens you in your fight against your illness. A holistic approach that includes nutrition, psychological well-being, environment, and body is the optimal foundation for healing and our therapy concept.

The following play an important role in nutritional therapy:

  • Prevention or therapy of underweight (cachexia)
  • Supplementation with vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, specifically: Selenium, Zinc, Vitamin D, A, C, E; Glutathione, L-Carnitine, Coenzyme Q10, alpha-Lipoic acid, Iodine
  • High-dose Vitamin C Infusion
  • Curcumin and Quercetin
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids
  • Artesemin

In this brochure you will find extensive information on nutrition for cancer from the Society for Biological Cancer Defense e.V.

“30 to 70% of all cancer cases are diet-related.”

In this respect, nutrition also plays a crucial role in the prevention of cancer.

We are happy to assist you if you need advice to eat healthily, analyze and reduce individual risks, and promote greater well-being. Eating can and should be enjoyable, should be balanced, and should consider individual needs.

Together, we analyze your eating habits, your personal preferences (and perhaps even your secret weaknesses), as well as your goals, and advise you comprehensively on a possible adjustment or supplementation.
